Tom Raftery / Global Vice President, Futurist & Innovation Evangelist SAP
Inspirational international keynote speaker Tom Raftery is a Global Vice President for SAP, a guest lecturer at the Instituto Internacional San Telmo, and a board advisor for a number of start-ups.
Before joining SAP, Tom worked as an independent industry analyst focusing on the Internet of Things, Energy and CleanTech and as a Futurist for Gerd Leonhardt’s Futures Agency.
Tom has a very strong background in technology and social media having worked in the industry since 1991. He is the co-founder of an Irish software development company, a social media consultancy, and is co-founder of hyper energy-efficient data center Cork Internet eXchange.
Tom also worked as an Analyst for industry analyst firm RedMonk, leading their GreenMonk practice for over 7 years.
Dr. Adriana Marais / Theoretical Physicist + Aspiring Extraterrestrial.
Dr. Adriana Marais, physicist, innovator and aspiring extraterrestrial, believes that we are living at a unique point in the history of life on Earth. Developments in science and technology are taking place at an unprecedented rate, and the expansion of our society beyond this planet is within reach. She talks about the origins of life, the technology required to live on Mars and the projects working towards sending crews there. She describes how the establishment, and potential discovery of evidence of, life on Mars, would be one of the most profound possible contributions of science to humanity. And the steps we are taking to make this a reality.
As Head of Innovation at SAP Africa since 2017, she is passionate about exploring innovative applications of emerging technologies to challenges facing the continent. She is currently pursuing a second PhD in economics designing a resource-based economic model facilitating sustainable expansion beyond Earth. As director at the Foundation for Space Development South Africa she is driving an overwinter Antarctic off-world simulation experiment for 2020.
Shane McLeod / Belgian International Field Hockey Trainer
Shane McLeod is a New Zealand field hockey coach. At the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics he coached the New Zealand national field hockey team. He has also coached several clubs in Belgium.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he was the headcoach of the Belgium men’s national field hockey team that won the silver medal. He was best coach of the year in 2017 and 2018 for his dedication with the Belgian field hockey team.

Vincent Vanasch / Belgian International Field Hockey Goalkeeper
Vincent Vanasch has been involved in hockey from an early age; his father “Jean” created the youth school of the “Royal Evere White Star Hockey Club”. He did all his classes until the first team with which he won several titles (grass and indoor). When the club got relegated to Division 1, at the end of the 2006–2007 season, he went to play at the “Royal Penguin Hockey Club Nivellois”. He played for two seasons before getting a transfer to KHC Leuven.
Vincent Vanasch (born 21 December 1987) is a Belgian international field hockey goalkeeper. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men’s tournament. Vanasch won the silver medal with Belgium at the 2013 European Championship on home ground in Boom. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he was part of the Belgian team who won the silver medal.
